The Offline Diaries

I really enjoyed this amazing book because it is filled with drama, excitement and makes me never want to stop reading it!

The Offline Diaries is a book about two year 7 girls named Ade and Shanice who become friends the second they meet. Ade is moving to a new area and starting a new life, new school, new house, new everything only because of her annoying stepdad, who she ABSOLUTLY HATES. Shanice has already been in the area and same school for about a year now and lives with her dad and of course her annoying brother…… or ..maybe …she likes him a …little bit and she usually stays at her dad’s hair salon after school as her helpful, amazing mother has already died.

BUTT…when they both meet in the salon they both knew they were meant to be best friends as they both had their own diaries that they wrote in.

They both start the school as normal best friends but the double A’s (the mean popular girls that only care about views and followers and who are bullies to Shanice) come and try take Ade away and a whole new scene appears.

Why is it a good book?

I really love this book as it is filled with drama and you want to find out more as they first were friends online and then in real life which became a whole other story also with the double A’s.

Book rating: 5/5

I recommend this book to anyone who likes drama and always wants to know what happens next.

Planet Omar

By : Zanib Mian

Planet Omar is an incredible series of books written by Zanib Mian. The books are all about a boy named Omar and the fun, crazy, and sometimes difficult things that happen in his life. What makes it really cool is how Omar imagines things—like having a pet dragon that goes on adventures with him! The first book in the series is called Planet Omar: Accidental Trouble Magnet.

Accidental Trouble Magnet

In this book, Omar starts a new school. He’s nervous, but luckily his teacher is super kind, and he meets a new friend named Charlie. But not everything is perfect—there’s a mean kid named Daniel who bullies Omar. Daniel does things like drop Omar’s food, run into him on purpose, and even spill water on his art, pretending it was an accident. He even says really mean things, like all Muslims will be kicked out of the country, which made Omar feel scared and angry.

Even though Charlie is scared to stand up to Daniel, Omar tries to be brave. Then one day, the class goes on a trip to a science museum (Omar LOVES science!). But instead of being in a group with Charlie, Omar gets stuck with… Daniel! As if that wasn’t bad enough, the two of them get separated from the class at the underground train station.

At first, it seems like Daniel will keep being a bully—but instead, he starts crying and says he’s scared they’re going to die! Then, they think they see a zombie, but it turns out it’s just a homeless man trying to help them. They finally make it to a mosque nearby, and the imam calls their school and parents.

Later, Daniel admits that his cousin told him that Muslims would be banned, and he repeated it to Omar just to scare him. He says sorry, and Omar’s family invites Daniel’s family to watch them pray. They actually enjoy it and understand more about Omar’s religion.

Conclusion

I think Planet Omar is a really great book. It’s funny, imaginative, and teaches you important lessons about friendship, kindness, and being brave. If you like Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Tom Gates, then you will love Planet Omar. The first time I read it, I couldn’t stop, and I’m sure you’ll love it too!
