You'll Never Walk Alone

Before I tell you more about this topic, I would like to tell you something. It's a fact that whenever you see a wolf hunting, it always chooses a lonely sheep as the prey rather than a flock of sheep because it knows that it’s the weakest. Just like that sheep, we are weak without our friends and family members.

A strong bond is like the nails of a strong boat. It holds all the elements together, making them united as one. That’s how we should stand together as one to win anything in this life.

Islam teaches a lot about unity and an example of this can be found in Sura Ala Imran verse 103, Allah says:

“And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's favour on you, for you were enemies of one another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His grace, you became brethren, and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat clear to you, that you may be guided.”

This verse explains to us that Allah has made us come as one, even though we were enemies once fighting like the battle of Badr and Uhud.

The Prophet of Islam (SAW) has said:

“Surely the believers – in relation to the mercy and compassion and affection (that they show for one another) – are the same as one body. Therefore, if one part of the body is feeling pain, then it complains about this pain to the other parts of the body through a fear and hurt (so that the body can help the hurt or injured part).”

We all know that it’s essential to have a strong bond with our families and friends, but what are the benefits of having one? You might assume it’s mentally and physically healthy to have such a great strong bond, but that’s not the only benefit. It can also help children and teens to develop trust and self-esteem and can make them happy and interactive people. If a child fails to have a strong bond, it could lead to poor social skills and weak problem-solving skills.

In conclusion, it is vital we maintain strong connections between our close ones in order to live a happy and successful life.
